L. RÖNNING has introduced the new scrapping machine M267-000-001, designed specifically for piercing seamless gas cylinders. The machine offers a safe and reliable way to permanently disable cylinders that are no longer in use.

When a cylinder is condemned, it must be rendered completely unusable before disposal. The cylinder must be damaged so that it can no longer hold pressure or be returned to circulation.

A pierced gas cylinder ensures safe remelting by preventing pressure buildup. This eliminates the risk of an explosion in the molten metal during the melting process.

This machine ensures a controlled scrapping process that:

How It Works

1. Positioning: The cylinder is placed directly onto the floor, with no need to lift the gas cylinder.
2. Hydraulic Piercing: A hydraulic unit presses one hole through the cylinder wall near the bottom. This deformation makes the cylinder permanently unusable.
3. Built-In Safety: Protective guards and an interlocked safety door help keep operators safe. The machine is controlled from an electric control panel.
4. Fast and Efficient: Each cylinder takes approximately 30 seconds to process, combining speed with safety and reliability.
